From what he heard later, Geto had apparently leapt from the second floor balcony of his own building, and apparently upset the first floor residents by landing in the middle of their garden barbecue. “Apparently,” because Geto himself had no memory of what happened, and by the time he comes to, he is shut away in a white box like a silkworm caged in a farm.

 

“Everyone, myself included, was merely living out a vague and hazy existence.”

 

Were they to be kept cocooned there until death, never breathing the fresh air again? Or would they be released and so perish? The people there didn’t seem to mind either way, but although Geto had always felt the same way...
